A three-vehicle crash at the intersection of Catron Boulevard and Highway 16 caused a major traffic jam Thursday afternoon. The Rapid City Police Department says two vehicles were parked on Catron facing east when a pickup truck pulling a trailer collided into them.

In Deadwood, a long-running celebration is getting underway. The Days of '76 kicks off Thursday night with the first rodeo of the series starting at 7:00. Cowboys from all over the country were converging on Deadwood Thursday, and rows of horse trailers were lined up at the rodeo grounds parking lot.

It started out as heavy rain, then came the small hail and then came the big hailstones. This is the aftermath along Highway 16 in Rockerville Thursday afternoon. About 15 cars were pulled off the road, heavily damaged by the baseball-sized hailstones.

Over four years ago, while tearing down a wall in Deadwood's Presidential Neighborhood, construction workers made what turned out to be a historic discovery. They found a casket handle which eventually led them to human remains almost a year later.
