One man is in the hospital tonight after the ATV he was driving rolled down an embankment at Johnson Siding. Witnesses with homes along Highway 44 said they heard the sound of breaking timber at about 6:30 this evening and looked up to see an ATV rolling down the embankment on the north side of the highway near where it intersects with Melcor Lane. The witnesses called 9-1-1, and one witness said he climbed the slope to where he found the victim lying about 20 feet from the vehicle. The victim was taken by ambulance to Rapid City Regional Hospital.
