The biggest shopping day of the year is right around the corner. This year downtown Rapid City businesses are hoping you'll keep them in mind when you hit the stores on Black Friday, and all holiday season long. Several stores, including Shangri La Boutique and Edge Sports, will open at 7 a.m. and mark down prices on nearly everything in store. Now through Christmas Eve, parking at the 6th Street parking ramp is free on Saturdays, and the Elks Theatre is offering free admission for kids to all Saturday matinees while parents shop downtown.Angelica Wojtanowicz says, "I think a lot of times when you come down into the stores and you are actually walking around inside of them, there are so many things that you didn't realize you could buy downtown and find downtown. There's really awesome gifts and specialty gifts that you can find for your loved ones that you're shopping for."And we can't forget to mention Super Saturday, the downtown's version of Black Friday. On December 5th, retailers pay the sales tax for every itemed purchased. For more downtown holiday updates, just visit www.destination rapidcity.com.
